alrighty i got a 2003 corvette conv. auto. dead stock...... my buddy has an 04 GTO with the stainless work longtubes. with X pipe and corsa sport exhaust basically the straight through corsa, the one with only resonators. anyways i also have a 1969 chevelle SS and it sounds great my vette on the other hand is quiet.... i wanna do long tubes for the power and an X pipe but my buddy's GTO was extremly loud and obnoxious it literally SCREAMED.... it was horrible... i have noticed LS series motors have a sound all them selves that i have never heard b4 what kind of cat back can i go with my stainless works long tubes and have it sound good and not extremly obnoxiously loud..?

Im in the same situation as you - I want one thats ballsy and loud but not obnoxious. I LOVE the sound of borla stingers, but im afraid they will be 2 loud. My buddy has flowmasters on his Trans Am, which sound good, and are a good volume for me, so Im looking into them on a vette

 

I love my Borla Stingers - not too loud and a perfect idle rumble. Of course, if you add headers and eliminate pup cats, the volume may become a bit much.......

 

I also have Borla Stingers and love them...get compliements everywhere I go.
