Default free Horsepower?

I was attempting to research what kind of thermal insulation paints i could paint my intake manifold and various other plastic pieces that the air must travel through to reach the engine. Im not even sure it would be a good idea considering im 18 and lack the common knowledge of what would be apropriate method of insulating the intake parts. Im curious if it would be worth the effort or if it might create some expansion issues.

You might be able to use some heat wrap from a local auto parts store but I'm not 100% sure on that.
