Default Which headers are best?

Thanks everyone for all your help and information regarding C.A.I.s and headers. Now, my question is: Which headers are best and of course street legal in California?

Thanks in advance.

Rita,

Unfortunately, the only street legal headers in CA are shorties and they probably aren't worth buying (gain is minimal). All Long Tube headers are illegal in CA at this time.

Best regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks so much for this information. Looks like I won't be getting headers, since my #1 requirement is to be street legal.

Again, thanks for taking the time to reply.
Take care, stay safe.
Rita

The best headers I have ever seen (for any car) are the long-tube stainless steel headers sold by Lingenfelter. They are actually made by Billy Boat (B&B) but are not their short-tube version -- a long tube you can only buy through Ling. They were works of art and fit my vette when stock perfectly, and really woke it up. But they were expensive ($1100 I think).

Thanks for this info, Lee, but Dave said they are not legal here in CA. Too bad.

Bassani makes a good set, installed a set in my shop last month, pretty easy to install.
