Default Headers and X pipe

I have an exhaust question maybe Lee or somebody thats already done this can answer.

My '01 Z has an aftermarket cam (specs unknown but probably under .600" lift.) CAI and Borla Stingers are the only mods. My next upgrade will beheadersand maybe some mild-medium headworkis about the extent of what I will ever do to this car. I was curious if long tubes have much of a HP advantage over a shortys or if its negligible. that being said, I'm looking for some headers + CA legal X pipe/cats. Lee , in the past you had told me to stick to 1 3/4" primaryfor the mods I haveso what brand do i go with? can you recommend a good place to buy?

Only thing I can kind of answer is the header question. I think that long tubes add more hp to the car than short but don't take me up on that im pretty sure though.

Get long tubes. If you plan on serious head porting, or going to something like AFR or L92 heads and a big cam, you can go to 1 7/8 inch tubes -- it will give you more Hp at the top end but squash low end torque a bit. As to the brand, I think all are about the same. I like Kochs headers myself but LG and others are good, too.

thanks guys. I think i am going with the LG long tubes right after I do my clutch job. and i lied, i will probably do a mini-tub on the car after the head work and THAT will be the last mod.... i swear...
