I think I pay $1050 a year of something, not sure. We have only one driver but lots of cars in the household and I'm not sure how the insurance company figures it. The Porsche is designated daily driver and has a serious replacement cost so I think it is about $1600.

I don't know exactly what my deduct is but I do know when I called to get it on my policy (1 day before I even went to the dealership and purchased the car) I told my agent to give me the highest deducts to make it as cheap as possible.
I have to get these damned points off my drivers record. And I need to turn 25... then maybe get married! Then I will be paying a lot less

Smart man.

How did you know about the high deductible - lower premium factor??? Most folks don't know about that...

Mercury insurance in San Diego charges me about $600 per year. Our most expensive insurance is for my wife's RX400h (about $700/yr), yet, ironically, that is the safest vehicle we own.

Actually, I received my insurance statement today. For some reason I was thinking it was more. My 'vette costs $448/year for full insurance including $500 deductible. The Porsche is $720/year, the Camaro $340.

I pay $615.02 per year for my '98. I get a pretty good discount on it because I have 3 cars, don't drive it much, and just got married in May. I also don't have any points on my license (as of April).
