When I test drove the car the salesman said it was mandatory that he go with me. He also kept stressing that I can not abuse the car and that I have to drive it slow. Also I will admit that it was the first vette I ever drove and was kinda scared to do anything crazy with it. I didn't really push it until last week and thats when I found this problem Anyway lesson learned. Next car I test drive I know what to do![sm=badbadbad.gif]

Ya can't adjust each gear per say, you "Split the difference" so to speak, on the throw of the linkage.
If the likage adjustmentin third is not aligned properly, you may not be fully engaging, and causin' undue wear to the syncros.

Went to the dealer yesterday to take one of the service managers for a ride to see if I can reproduce the problem. I could not get the car to grind. I shifted 5400-5800 rpm fast and hard from 2nd to 3rd. Got the tires to chirp 2 x also. It wouldnt grind. What the heck? So I am going to purchase an extended warranty just in case. They said my shifting might of been off when it grinded? But my mechanic did it also and it did it to him too? Oh well nothing I can do I guess.

They gave me info on a warranty called Easy Care. I did some research and found out they are not too good. I called GMPP but I do not qualify for them because my current warranty is almost up. So I called some companies and the one I am considering is ASWcar.com. Auto Service Warranty inc. 2 year 24k mile no cap on repairs (some companies would only give up to $3000 for engine and $2000 for trans).
$200 deduct on this warranty. Price is $1,299. Seems reasonable. I can also take it to any auto repair shop. This is the coverage I will be getting. http://www.autoservicewarranty.com/c...ecomplete.html
Should I go for it? Anyone hear of this company before?
