Default maintence costs and reliability issues

I am a 17 year old male who loves cars and has already owned a 1995 bmw m3. My grandpa worked for gm as a engineer and for some reason I fell in love with the corvette recently. i have found some c5s with light damage and rebuilt titles for under 15k. I dont know a whole lot about working on a corvette and is the work on a vette more expensive then a BMW M3? I want a manual transmission but are the autos very relable as in their torque converters, etc? I dont see much after market for vettes but im sure there out there what are some good sites, i know west coast is good but i dont see a whole lot of parts. I want a z06 and heres the link but im not sure the frame looks bent etc. http://www.erepairables.com/vehicle_..._corvette.html

let me know what you think!!!! thanks guys!!!!

All maintence done on my car has been reasonable. If I had to guess I would say an m3 is more expensive to maintain than a corvette.

I wouldn't pay 15 grand for a wrecked vette with 45k miles on it. Now if it had 4k miles on it maybe, so I wouldn't even consider that linked one if I were you. Just look around and check ebay for good deals on vettes. I got mine with all mods (over 500 horse power) with 28k miles on it for $26k.

Id say the corvette is more hard to work on and more expensive. Agreed on the price for a wrecked corvette. Try to find a non-wrecked one with good mileage for your price range from a reliable source. Also have a trusted mechanic check over it for you before you buy it. If they say no to that, dont buy it.
