The exact words are: "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God" These words came from Jesus and are part of a sermon He gave.
Bless you Pecemker - you are a class act!
Too many people in my hometown and even in this forum refer to me as Pecemkr because of my license plate......I got the plates because I live by that motto... also, I am the director of the police review commission for Riverside, CA .....with much frequency I find myself trying to achive peace between citizens and police .......it's what I do for a living.

Ahhhhh, I wasn't sure if you Photo-chopped your license plate image, just to match your new name. I believe there is another saying (beatitude?) that goes....
"Blessed are those who are poor in spirit; their's is the kingdom of God."

Dave is right . . . there are 8 Beatitudes and Jesus left them as principles to live by to help us reach the kingdom of heaven. Another one says, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." Guess that is the one everyone forgets when in a street race.
