Default Possible Trackimg System

Lately the car has been making a loud (growling) sound for 5 seconds or so and then goes away. I was thinking maybe the traction system as it doesn't affect the tach and other gages read normal. Currently it is only happening once a trip and sometimes not at all. With out it occurring consistently my mechanic won't know what he is looking for, and I will not take her to the dealer. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you turn the traction control system off?

I never thought of that, feeling pretty stupid right now. Unfortunately it's going to be a couple days as we're going through several flooding days related to the storm. I'll touch base as soon as it's safe to take her out.
Thank you, Charl

I want to thank you, turning the system off has eliminated the "grinding sound when the car is being driven although is has made the noise a few times when I turn the car off. I'll be getting it looked at next week and hoping it's not going to cost an arm and a leg! Once again thanks, truly appreciate the help.

I hope they can fix it and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Let us know how it works out.
