Default Service Vehicle Soon Message Display

Does anyone know what this means? I've been to two dealers (Susan Schien and Edwards Chevrolet) and neither can figure it out. This isn't the Check Engine light; it's a message that's displayed (and can't be reset).

Check the various OBD codes (there must be some!) in the ECM and why the dealers can't figure it out escapes me. If there are no codes then if it were my car I would just ignore the message.

It's a 1998. And I have checked the manual for the displays...not there.

Just saw the post about holding the fuel button, etc. Sounds like someone's yanking my chain, but at this point, if you told me to stand on my head and sing Dixie I'd give it a try.

It's probably based on a mileage counter that can be reset by some means when you service the car, such as oil change. Can't tell you right now, but if you email me @ larinc@gt.rr.com I'll check Alldata at my shop and see if there is anything.
