I guess I'm partial to Bilstein shocks. I had them on my 68 and will get them again when my 01 needs them. Their R & D facility is closeby in Poway, CA.

LG MotorSports recommended that I go with 2004 Z06 shocks. I track my car and wanted a setup that worked well....so I put on Hyperco springs, those shocks and T1 swaybars.....great setup. This is the exact setup the Bob Bonderant (spelling?) C5s use. I guess in 04 they made some big changes in the Z06 shocks, so at LG's suggestion, I went with those.

I also hear that a good set of coilovers are far better than just a set of new shocks. The big difference is the side-hopping that is inherent to cars with leaf springs. Callaway and Bilstein both have high-quality coilovers.
