Default so it ain'nt so please

when it rains it pours! was told today that on my 97 the climate control unit
display is out part cost 1100.00! at the dealer ship, and that only a 97 unit will
work could this be true i figured one from a later model would do.
any word on this out there.thanks

Try Eklers. They have a service and refurbish some dash components and may be able to help. also mid America may do the same.

There is a guy on eBay that will send you an excellent HVAC that has been refurbished. When you get it, you take yours out, put the new one in, put your non-working unit in the same box, and send it back to him and go on about your life being able to see your HVAC display now. Just type in c5 on eBay and go to the last page that comes up. I THINK. I think it is the last page. May not be by now, but I just saw it on the last page this morning. Thats a rediculous price, that dealer is nuts.
I see them on Ebay all the time
