Default Strange suspension issue

I was looking at purchasing a 2000 C5 with 50k for about 25000 dollars. However, when I drove it, the front suspension makes a very raspy sound when it compresses. Any idea as to what this may be? The car does have active handling......

I've searched and found no reliable answers...any help would be appreciated.

Have you had someone take a look underneath? It may be an aftermarket sway bar bushing that is dry.

I also read that. At any rate, I hear the F45 shocks take a dive after 50k miles or so anyway. The way to go seems to be replace them with Z06 shocks.

Also..is it normal to hear gear noises in 1st/2nd gear?

What type of noise? When taking off in first gear, you will hear what sounds like a can of marbles, but that is normal. Other than that, there shouldn't be any strange noises.
