Default traction control

Hey guys, whats the difference between turning the traction control off versus putting it in competetive mode???? Does one or the other turn off the active handling????

Competitive mode (by pressing and holding the button) is active handling alone - NO traction control. It is ideal when you want to take off from a standstill without having the traction control slow you down.

Hey Dave, the traction control is turned off with the first press of the button....the car will fishtail just fine in this mode, what is the difference with competitive mode, I know the car will fishtail in this mode too but what else does it do?????

Active Handling is when the ABS controls braking under certain driving conditions. Not only does ABS prevent premature wheel stops, but Active Handling is when the ABS system will applythe brake on one particular wheel or set of wheels depending on what youtell the vehicle to do.

Active Handling is smarter than most drivers...

Whytry,

George is correct. Active handling can prevent s "spinning out" episode by keeping the car in-ine with where the steering wheel is pointed.

Here's a whole bunch of info about it:

Nice article.

Active handling is sort of an eerie feeling the first few times it happens. But it's really nice to have there to soften the edge.
