Default Traction System/ABS System lights on

The warning lights for the TS and the ABS come on intermittently on my 2000 C5. It happens usually when in encounter a rough road. I am hoping, as I have been told, that it may be a loose ground. I had a dealer check it out but they indicated all sorts of electronic replacements were needed....$6000. plus. Whenever they come on, they stay on for a long time.....mostly go off when I again encounter rough road or bumps. Is it ok to drive in this state? I know, stay off rough roads! Thanks, been told that. LOL. That's hard to do here in the Blue Ridge Mtns of Va. Any help appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.

You might check the wheel speed sensors and their connections.

Have you checked the codes yet? I had that problem and it was the 1214 code which I had to take the ECBM apart and resoldier the contact joints. No problems since then.
