cannot down shift into fourth without a nasty grinding sound.HELP? 2000 frc

 

SOUNDS LIKE BAD SYNCRONIZERS. IN YOUR FORTH GEARTAKE IT TO THE SHOP..BUT IF YOU NO HOW TO REBUILD A TRANNY DO IT YOUR SELF. AND HOW IS THE CLUCH DOES IT SLIP AND HOW IS THE PEDAL PLAY.[8D]

 

clutch is great
bought the car 3 months ago with 7833 miles on the car
installed a hurst shifter, it is great
made noise from day one

 

I just put mine in the shop yesterday morning for a somewhat similar problem...just waiting to hear the verdict now. I'll let you know what was wrong with mine when I hear something.

Sorry to hear your sweet silver ride is in the shop, Can you tell me about your Z06 wheels and tires. What year are they? what size wheels and tires. I would like to put some on my 04 silver coupe. Thank you
