Hey, this is an aggrevation for me and the (bag boys) at the club house. The trunk switch works just fine, but the (spring) or whatever should pop the lid up high enough does NOT happen.

It barely opens and one has to dig their finger nails around the edges of the lid to get it open.

Anyone know how to get more action out of the spring or mechanism so it "pops up" higher????

I've got an '01 convertible. If I have the windows closed, (the top up) and open and close the door, the air pressure helps......but that is not the solution I would like.

This is one option. I made may own, similar to this one.

 

I also have an 01 vert but thought that was how they all were.

 

I just pop the trunk, then shut the door and there you have it! The trunk is open. The problem is that if the top is down, it doesn't work.
