Default turn signal problem

I have a 2001 conv. that has started giving me an erratic turn signal problem. The first time it blinked 6 times then stopped blinking. I checked all the fuses, they were fine. Now sometimes they work fine. Then about once a week they don't come on. The light on dash never comes on. Then there fine again. Any thoughts?

You probably have a loose wire inside the protective accordian cover that is near your driver's door hinge. Pull the accordian back to examine the wires and connectors inside. My guess is that you'll find the culprit there.

Thumbs up Possible solution

A few years back I was having trouble with my pop up lights before I replaced them and I would turn the lights off and on several times to try to keep them either up or down. Doing so messed up my brake lights, they did not come on on the passengers side and I did not know this until I got pulled over and let go with a warning. Turns out ( lol no pun intended ) it was my turn signal switch that also controls your cruise control and headlights. I had to take it to a place I trusted to diagnose and about $275.00 later everything works perfect again. I hope this helps.
