What should I replace my original tires with ?

While I don't like runflat tires, the ultimate decision is up to you.
Some good non-runflat tires for your car are:
Goodyear F1: $866/set
Continental Extreme Contact: $950/set
Hankook Ventus V12: $790/set

Good insight here. I have Michelin run flats on my new C5 and the ride is horrible. The car certainly grips a lot coming from my '90 Miata, but I'm sure grip and ride will be improved when I upgrade to one of these conventional summer tires. Thanks for the info.

About 6/8 months ago, I had a flat on a rear Good Year Run Flat. Dealer said I had no choice but to buy a new tire. I called GY and said their Run Flat could be patched. I took it to a Discount Tire shop. They removed it from the wheel, patched it (had a unity knife blade in it) and rebalanced it. When I tried to pay them, there said there was not charge. Just wanted me to come back sometime. Can't beat service like that to win customers.
I will be replacing them next month with Continental non run flats.

I have replaced the original run flats with performance (non Run flat)tires on the last two Corvettes. I currently have General G Max on my 2004 and I love them.I also carry a compressor and a plug kit and beyond that I have AAA. Love the General Tires!
