Default Z06 NOISE

Hi, My 2001 Z06, with 14k has this noise comming from the passenger side rear when I take a left hand turn, it sounds like something is sliding around in the trunk and banging into the side. [ the trunk is empty.] The noise only seems to show up after the car has been taken for a good long ride. The dealer can't find anything, but I didn't let him take it for a long ride. Has anyone had this same problem? If you have, what was the problem. Or if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks, Marc

Is it stock? Have you : a) adjusted the suspension to lower it? b) fitted wider tires (305s, 315s, etc., or 3) installed aftermarket wheels?

Mine made the same type of noise as you describe, for a while, and it turned out to be a tire rubbing/knocking against the inner fender liner only during turns -- even though I had tubbed the liners/wheel wells three inches, after fitting wider tires the clearance was not quite perfect with the car lowered an inch. In my case we raised the car 1/4 inch and adjusted the liners and it the noise and rubbing went away.

Hi, Lee
My Z06 is all stock. I checked the inner fender liners and there is no sign of rubbing. Also the noise seems to be comming from the side or rear of the car. Thanks for the info.

Marc
