Hey guys I am new here. I am looking to buy a corvette. Both are going for about the same price. I found several 2004 Z06's w/ less than 10k miles for $30g's and a 05 C6's w/ 30-40k miles for the same price.

I need the expert advice here. In my honest opinion I love the way the c5 Z06 looks compared to the C6 vette. Also I have heard the C5 Z06 rides more like a sports car around the track compared to the C6 (remember I am not talking about the C6 Z06, just the C6 standard coupe). I am looking for reliability in both, and also a circuit ready vehicle. So I guess the questions I am asking are, which is:

1.) More reliable , known to have less issues mechanical wise, if there is a difference , please explain.

2.) Cheaper to modify/tune and get better gains?

3.) More circuit/track ready?

4.) Has a more sports car feeling to it?

5.) honestly worth the $30k, a C5 Z06 w/ low miles or a C6 Coupe w/ mid miles for the same price?

6.) Also, what are the KNOWN common problems on the 02-04 Z06 vette to look out for??

All opinions are welcomed, like I said I am a newbie, but the good news is I am looking to be a Corvette owner! I am seriously looking at the C5 Z06 (a 2004) and in love with it, but if the C6 Coupe is known to be better, I'd rather spend my money on it instead.
