Best Aftermarket Exhaust??
This is my first time on this site. Just bought a new 05 C6 Vette Convertible. Since I am in the Motorcycle Industry, New exhaust is a must on any new wheels.
So can someone please tell me what is the best aftermarket exhaust from their perspective..Borla, Corsa,GHL out of Mesa AZ.????
Getting ready to lay out approx $1500 Bones. Want to do it right!
Thanks.Jerry from Dallas

RE: Best Aftermarket Exhaust??
You will get every opinion under the sun. Overall recomnmendation is: if you can actualy listen to a few with aftermarket exhausts (listening two soundclips over the internet won't do it) -- that's best.
Realize that there are two things to think about. One is the sound. Different tones, and some exhaust resoante annoying at around 70 mph in both the C5 and C6.
The other is performance potential. There will NOT be that much difference in RWHP between any aftermarket cat-backs (none alone will give you more than 5-10 verifiable RWHP, at best). An H pipe will add a bit more, long tube headers a whole bunch more.
Regardless, there is a different in the potential of the exhaust for modded engines: if you plan to add a SC or nitrous, you want to pick big pipes.
I really recommend long tube headers with whatever you add. I prefer Kooks headers and H pipe, 1 3/4 inch for stock and lightly modded engines, 1 7/8 for big HP. EVen with a stock engine, they make a big difference.

Here is after ARK DT-S system installed. All bolt on, installation time took us about 1hr( first time C6 installer).
