Question Diversified Antenna

I have a 2005 Z51. I recently switched out the Head unit to a Kenwood w/ NAV and Bluetooth. As with the radio that was previously in there, I hardly have any reception on fm. If i am in the town where broadcast originates i have "decent " reception. But once i get a couple of miles out i have nothing but static. My question is this. Is there an aftermarket signal amplifier that will work with the diversified antenna system or a way i can switch out to a better antenna system?

C6 antenna requires 12 volt power to energize it. The factory, OEM radio, sends a 12 volt signal to the antenna (when on) via B3 (white wire on the radio main plug). It also sends a 5 volt signal via A4 (yellow wire) to activate the 2nd antenna when in FM mode (for better reception). With an aftermarket head unit use either the amp or antenna output voltage from your HU to terminal B3 on the main harness. If your FM stations come in strong, no further steps are required. If weak, you will need to fabricate a 5 volt signal to A4.
