gear change on a automatic

I'm not real happy with the gear ratio in my c6 it's a automatic and I think It came with a 2.56 ring and pinion.Has anybody tried a 3.15 or 3.42 install yet.

I am a 6 speed manual guy and LOVE the control. People will argue "ya, what about being stuck in traffic..." but I don't care cause when I get on a winding road and have the chance to play, it takes all of that away.
