Automatic Trans Cooler?
When my dad bought his C6 he decided that he wanted the auto trans, thank god he at least got the Z51 package lol. Anyways, he went track racing for the first time a few months ago and loved it and wants to go more often. He let me take the car out for a few sessions and it was simply amazing. Well, about halfway through the session the trans temp got high enough for the warning light to come on. So my question is, has anybody installed an aftermarket trans cooler on the automatic C6? Does anybody make a kit for the C6? If you did install your own "universal" cooler, where did you mount it and what company did you go with? I plan on changing the fluid, but I don't think that will take care of the problem, especially in the Vegas heat. Thanks for any help.

Call Lingenfelter and ask them for recommendations on Trans coolers. I don't know what they sell but I imagine they have what you need. There are some that have an electric pump and others that use natural convection (which I expect would not work well)

You might also look at using synthetic fluid if you are going to race much. Synthetics tend to have a higher boiling point than conventional fluid.
