Ipod Help
I am thinking of adding a C6 and am curious about the IPOD situation. I did a search on the forums and didn't seem to find a clear answer. I have used FM modulators in my other cars and have not been pleased with the sound vs. a direct connect.
Does anyone know if there is a hard wired solution out there? I have read poor reviews for the PAC device etc...
Or will this become an option in 2008?

RE: Ipod Help
Go to www.crutchfield.comyou plug in your vehicle and then it will give you options. I have a C5 and used the "Peripheral iPod2Car". Although the interface via the stereo isn't that great the sounds is excellent and you have full control via the IPOD (see https://www.corvetteforums.com/m_33302/tm.htm).
Crutchfield has instructions for disassembling the vehicle as well which really helped. I suspect that they may have info for the C6 but could check with them before buying.

RE: Ipod Help
I have a 2005 and have the same problem. I have direct conect in my other cars and it works great. I just purchsed a Monster -icarplay from a local electronics store. They told me it works great,I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I alsospoke with apple beforeI made the purchase. They have a wireless model butI was told it doesn't work as well. They said due to it being wireless, it runs on the battery from the ipod. The battery does not charge as it is being used. the battery will loose its charge in about two hours effecting sound quality. Apple said the best way to use an ipod in a car like ours is to use a wired fm converter.
