I am new here and am looking at a 2008 Corvette with the Z51 package. I have a question regarding its history that I'm hoping someone can answer. When I spoke with the salesman, he told me the car came from GM's testing facility. According to the Carfax, all of the service on the car was performed in Arizona. So I am assuming the car was used at the Test Track out there. The car has 20,000 miles on it and the dealer is putting a GM bumper to bumper 3/36 warranty on it, from the 20,000 mile mark. the asking price for the car is 33,900.

Specifically, should I be concerned because the car was used at the testing track/facility?

I have a 2008 Corvette with 4,400 miles, garage kept under a satin car cover. It has the Z51 package and every option available except navigation and overhead display. The car is in mint condition and obviously is hardly ever driven. I'm considering parting ways with it if given a reasonable offer. I would personally be concerned about a car with 20,000 miles from a testing facility. If its been tested I'm sure its been driven harder than most.

 

Thanks for the offer. But I just picked up a different 08, Certified, with 24,000 miles on it, Z51, and all options but the two toned leather and nav. I'll have to upload some pictures when I get a chance.

It turns out that yellow Vette I was looking at was from the race school in Arizona. Good thing I passed it up.
