I totally agree with you on this point, and not only for the fact that they are outdated quickly, but I find them to be a waste of money for an option that costs approx: $1500-$3000 depending on the year andvehicle, because the resale value of the car with Navigationis not drastically higher on a trade in or wholesale. And also you could buy a portable Garmin unit that is 100 times better in quality and has morefeatures, and it will not be as outdated, in the next five years, for approx: $500-$1100.
