Default Run flat low profiles

Hi,

I know there have been a lot of posts on this subject but I just wanted to ask a direct question. I want to keep run flats on my 2007, ( I am 55 and dont drive all out, so the performance difference won't mean that much to me...lol), and I really like the look of the low profiles, and I was wondering which ones are the best value, or are they all going to be around $400.

thanks for any help.

Look on Tirerack.com.The Michelin Pilots.Kumho's are both good tires and
the people who have bought them also rate them on that site.

Like you I want to keep run-flats on my 2005, but I am disappointed in the GYs. I was hoping Michelin made a RFT but they don't at this point (check Tirerack.com). I'm looking at the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval RFTs. Any one have any experience with them?? By the way, I have you beat by 8 years.....

Driving a Vette makes you feel 30 years younger, PG.

There are three types of reviews/ratings at TR:
--controlled testing by the TR staff (probably the most precise evaluation)
--survey responses by owners
--reviews by owners

The main problem with user reviews is that owners are exposed to a very small number of tires. What's the basis for comparison?

Still, the best tire info out there at this point.

Thanks for the info.........I think the issue is what will fit the C6and I'm told right now Michelin does not make a RFT in those sizes. BUT the good news is they will sellones this summer. They will provide the tires for the ZR1. I contacted Michelin customer service folks and received three prompt and personal emails saying they will have replacement RF tires to fit the C6 by August at the latest, maybe earlier. So...stay tuned. Word is they will be a better value than the current GY tires I have on my Z51 C6.

That's good news! From my experience with my sport bike(CBR 929)and sporty cars, I like Pilot Sports. I always got a good compromise betweenperformance and wear with those of tires. On my Mustang Cobra I remember they were fairly quiet too.

i have been using the firestone wide ovals. i have found them superior to the gy's on both, my c5 and my c6. they have better grip in rain, run quieter on the road (expecially cement), have better tread life, are less fragile, (i lost 2 gy's to a pothole), have no decrease in handling on dry road, handle lower temperatures better, and cost less. a true no brainer
