Tq managment, CAGS???
What the heck are these things that seem to hold the C6 down? I know the CAGS is some gear shifting nanny, but do the regular manual 6 speeds without the auto shifting stuff do this? I wouldnt think so. Also, I have heard that there is also a handling thing and trac control that need to be turned off by holding the trac button down for 10 sec...? Is all this true. I bought the base C6 with the manual because I wanted a ripper of a sportscar, not a watered down one. Also, if I buy a predator tuner can I kill the trac and handling thing for good? Any help would be nice.

CAGS is the computered assisted gear shift controller which forces you to shift from 1st into 4th on the manual trans when running easy in traffic, etc. With that, the vette gets by without a gas-guzzler tax. It applies only to the Manual transand you can eliminate it with a $30 fitting called an iCags (interrupt CAGS).
The C5 and C6 have traction control and stability control both of which can be shut down by holding down the button for a while. In my opinion it is pretty foolish to drive the car on public roads without both features on: they do NOT intervene unless that car is about to go out of control. The traction system in mine still permits copious wheelspin on launchbut intervenes automatically if, say, you hit a wet patch or something, while the stability control has only intervened six times in 20,000 miles, but two of those times it saved me spinning out, maybe damaging the car.

Good info man, the only reason I would want to turn that stuff off is to mess around in a parking lot or something. The cags thing will get disabled for sure though. Otherwise, is the C6 as badass of a race car as the c5 z06 is? Hopefully, I have driven an 03 Z06 and an 05 C6, but the C6 was an auto and mine will be a M6.
