Default What Do U C 4 Year End Pricing???

The leaves are changing, 07's are arriving in dealerships and there are a lot of 06's out there. What are the deals you guys are seeing out there? I know allocation for dealer 07s can be earned by moving 06s by a deadline. Any idea what the deadline is? What prices are you seeing out there? Any idea what the dealer can make on holdback (I don't want these guys going out of business!). It will be a stretch financially, but if I can get a great deal on an 06 convertible, I'll take the plunge.

Well, frankly, there is little difference in the '07s from the 06s, very few changes/upgrades, etc. Of course, the "current model year" factor weighs heavily in sales, but my point is if I were a dealer I would not be all hot to dump the '06s for '07s. I'd probably plan to sell them over the next 3-6 months at discounted prices, explaining to customers that "there is not much difference from the '07 and I can give you a good deal." So, I would not expect fire-sale, prices. Dealers here seem to be sticking to that. Advertised prices seem to be about $1500-$2000 (about 5-7%) below what they were several months ago.

After looking for a C-5, I started looking at the C-6 verts. My take on the pricing is:
07s seeing up to 7k off verts. Puts them in the 55-57k range. A year old car should be about
5-10% less in new condition. That would put a new 06 at 52-54k. A used 06 should be about
4-5k below that. Around or 47-48k. There are at least 3 or 4 dealers that have prices in this range.
All are in the northeast. Going up there next week. Hope to snare a deal. Especially now that there
is snow and freezing temps.

This is from a friend of mine with 5 dealership, the price difference between a 06/07 is 1% - 2% of MSRP, I ordered a 07 from him and i have got 4K under MSRP and the chrome rims (aftermarket chrome). Shopping around here in Los Angeles, every dealer is willing to go down 4K, they are overstock, production of vettes went up 21.7% from same month last year and a lot of vettes are still sitting on the lot.
Dealer cost for aftermarket chrome is 200 bucks.
