Took my new C6 M6 to the drags tonight and what a disapointment. Ran my C5 TWO WEEKS AGO before trading it in and ran 13:45 @108 not bad for a auto with 2.73's. My c6 was impossible to launch. Wheel hop throught the first two gears. Was running high 13's at 110 - 111 mph. Track was cold and no matter what I tried I COULD NOT GET IT TO HOOK UP. Is this a common problem? WHAT SHOULD i BE RUNNING WITH THOSE TRAP SPEEDS? Maybe I'm just a aweful driver. A new Kia may be the answer. What a day

this time of year, with cold pavement and air, almost all tires have real traction problems. This is so common it is just assumed that it will happen.
You could try just burning a little rubber right before you stage to warm the tires up, but the road temperature is important, too, and its hard to warm up the pavement itself.
