Hey guys I am new to the forum and new to the corvette world. I have always dreamed of owning a corvette and when the C8 was introduced I decided it was time to get in on the hype. After waiting a Cpl cycles to let them work out the kinks and was hoping the demand would cool off a bit. As you know that didn’t happen. I contacted several of the Major dealerships all in the top ten nationally, and couldn’t find anyone that could get me a 2022 car and most were saying 12 months to get a 2023. I decided to call all my local dealerships and try my luck there. Guys I am glad I did, I got on several list on 10-26-21. Last week I got a call from one of my local guys and he informed me I had an allocation. He put in my order and I am at 3000 status now with GM. This all happened in less than a month! Don’t give up and let the big guys tell ya they can get em faster than anyone else , not true. Had one dealership that could get me a 2022 perhaps but it would be at 10k over MSRP. The small town dealership is at MSRP and even have a connection to take care of the PPF and ceramic coating. Keep digging and you never know what you will find.
