Default 1976

Hi all

I am a newbee here. I need to now a little info on a 1976 corvette that i might wont to buy. The guy is asking $6500. The vett has a brand new 350ci

stroker motor in it and has only 2500 miles on it. The body has only 127,000 miles. It is a 4 speed, factory air (that works) power windows, 15x10
ralley wheels, yellow exterior with tan interior. It needs a paint job but, i own a paint & body. The motor runs very strong and has been blue printed. The vette is in very good condition. The front suspention has all new factory replacement parts: tie rods, bushings, shocks, eveything.
I have looked up the value of the 1976 vette, and from what i have found out, is that" It is worth a lot more than he is asking. The guy that owns the vette has taken real good care of it. He also has to sell it because he is being transferd to Germany. Does anyone now what this 1976 vette is worth. Please contact me with info please. I need to know if this a good deal or not!

Thanks
Charlie

Take it to a shop that deals with corvettes almost exclusively ( can find them on the web) There is one I use in MD called Corvette Specialities ( they also have a booth at the show in Carlisle ) For a fee, they can look the car over, and let you know if it is a good buy. Better to spend a C note for a look see, than $6500, if it is a roach!
One bit of advice I received when I bought my first vette, and it is good, "buy the most corvette you can afford, in the long run, you won't regret spending a little more"

is it an L48 or L82?

another thing, you said that it was a 350 stroker,....a 350 is the stock CID...so if he said its a 350 stroker, hes lying...but L48 or L82 is very important.

Worth is an intersting term.

It loses value right off as the numbers don't match. It will never be a collector. That doesn't mean it's not "worth" $6500 though. You have good advice above...let us know what you do.
