I just recently purchased a 1976 Corvette and am having problems with the burglar alarm system. When you turn the key on the alarm, the alarm will immediately sound off with all doors and hood closed. I have ordered and received a wiring diagram and it does not show the alarm wiring. After studying and crawling all over the car, I believe that there is a switch in the aft side of each door that works as a door open light. Also there is switch on the right side of the hood. I have disconnected all the wiring to all three switches and the horn still sounds. My question is, is there another switch somewhere in this car? If these are the only three switches and the system is looking for 12 volts to go to ground, is there a relay somewhere that provides this ground? If so where is it? Where can I get a wiring diagram that will show this system so that I can trace it out and repair it or is there something that I have overlooked? This is my first Corvette and I'm lost. Thanks for any help.
