1994 chorvette has a fast idle after the car has been driven, idles fine at start up? Any ideas. thanks

 

I can't help you with your problem, I'm having the same problem myself. I'm disappointed that no one has replied to you. I suspect the problem is the Mass Air Sensor, but thats only a guess. Regards, Mike

 

Mike, Will the MAF sensor do that? On my 88 the S.E. Soon lite would come on but the car still ran the same. The code showed MAF . I talked with a few guys around here with Vettes and they recomended gently spraying Electronic sray cleaner on the wires inside the opening of the MAF to clean them. I did it and the light never came on again. Seems those wires are very touchy and even dust acumulated on them can throw things off. So Dan, Mike may be right.
