How on Earth do I replace the bulbs in the 3rd brake light on my '86 C4? Thanks.

 

you take the brake light off the top ( on my ' 88 it was held on by 2 torx screws ). Then it will come apart. if it is like mine the bulbs are #891 they just have 2 prongs sticking out. Not a kind you can insert and turn. The bulbs are quite expensive, to the tune of 8-13 dollars each depending where you get them. It takes 4 bulbs. The cheapest price i found was napa @8.00. Pull the bulbs straight out. and replace. Be careful not to put too much pressure in the new bulbs when you put them back in, they can POP ! I found out ![sm=signs003.gif]
