Default C-3: Front Brake hose washers question

Need some quick help here if possible. Putting front, rubberbrake hoses on my 69. Do these require the copper washer on the hose end going into the back side of the caliper? Our local "general mechanic" told me some hoses require NOwasher so they can seat themselves into the caliber housing. Really appreciate some quick response here from some of you Techies. Thanks, jack

They are done, with washers. Thanks! Some info here, for what it's worth. Napa Parts, a local store where I usually buy my parts, asked $96 for the rebuilt calipers. O'reilly Parts, 30 min. away, wanted $63. No brainer, right? I'm not so sure. I bought 2 front delco rebuilts. One leaked from bad casting close to the bleeder valve. Took it back and they ordered me another. It was not a delco and I expressed my concern, with no avail, and took it. Installed it and it leakedfrom one of the o-rings where the castings go together.Took it back and insisted on a delco and they split a pair they had in stock. It does not leak. I am not so concerned about the service I received as I am about the rebuilder they use.Four trips to the store, three system bleedings with my wife's help and I now have brakes. Might have been even money to buy at home???? J

NAPA scares me[]

I've never, EVER, gotten the right part from them the first time!

Maybe they don't pay their employees enough

I live near a small town and the Napa is run by the owner. He started it in 1984 and has a very good following. Must be a franchise thing??? True Story; A few years back, I called an O'rielly in another town, also about 30 min. away. I asked the young man for a part for myC4 and after a long wait while he searched, he came back and said " who makes the corvettes", but, I bet he can run a computer faster than I can. j
