Default 1990 C4 Climate Control keeps quiting on me

My 1990 C4 Climate Control keeps quitting. It works for a very short time when I start the car but quits soon after. All I get is the air when I am moving and it is very cold air so I know that the A/C is on. Any suggestions? Do I need to replace the Module?

Alsothe carkeeps stalling when I am in indle. We have replaced so many parts that the list would be quite long.
Do you have 'loping' at idle? Up and down rev'ving?

There's another classic case of Fully Automatic Assault Wallet[sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=violent053.gif], sprayin' a volley of fresh parts downrange in attempt to hit the problem...

Yes it lopes up and down at idle. We have a OBD 1 testing kit not really user friendly but it does give us codes to look up. The Climate Control is throwing a code 8 which is the Outside temperature sensor. I think we will replace that first. Thanks for responding. I got a good laugh although I probably should be crying with all the parts we have replaced in this vette.

Loping idle is a vacuum leak in the intake. It will give no codes, specifically for that. It might give other false codes; oftentimes a 32/EGR fault.

There's a ton of functions related to the vacuum reading, as read by the computer. I don't know whether or not any A/C functions are dependant on this read, but I cannot say "NO".

I THINK the heater/A/C blower is independant of ANYTHING. When it cuts off next time, check the power input to the blower motor (you ARE saying the blower motor is what's cuttin' off, right?).

Do you have a multi-meter?
