Cutouts...... Does anybody know if there are any out yet??/ If so who makes them.... Ive been told it can decrease pwr and ive been told it can INcrease pwr... does anybody know????

 

it depends on how restrictive your exhaust system is...you can, in theory put cutouts on anything...ive seen them work wonders on a modded LS1 firebird...but on a stock motor im not sure...on one of my nonners i run open headers and when i put the exhaust on i slow down in the quarter a bit....open exhaust, liek cutouts may allow for too little backpressure which will cost you some low end torque...

 

i have seen a camaro with the LS1 with cutouts and it was VERY loud!

 

Not really for me, I would not recommend it. I would say wait and get the exhaust you want...the car is worth it

buks they are great if youre gonna open them at the track, or if you want your car to be VERY loud. it is basically an easier version of open headers.

 

I'd say you are better off with Hooker Super Comps. Nothin like 'em opened up!!
