Default Deactive alarm??

Hey guys, great forum so far!
Can anyone tell me how to permanently disable my *#%! alarm on my 1986 C4?? This is only my 2nd vette, both being C4's and never had a good thing to say about the alarm systems! I'm getting tired of replacing NEW batteries due to the stupid flashing lights, and disconnecting the horn.
At least on my 1st vette, I could turn the system off with the door key.
Any info appreciated! Thanks.

I'll try tracing some wiring this weekend. And do I hate wiring! lol
I'm just not sure disabling it would be "that" simple, and I guess it really isn't the best question to be asking online. [:@] But I guess if anyone really wants it, they'll get it anyway.
Thanks for the tip!

man, i understand...i recently tried to figure out why my GFs aftermarket alarm wasnt working correctly, and the wiring was a nightmare...worst of all, it was worked in with the ignition..the stereo system....and i dont do wiring...luckily a friend of hers does..and found that it wasnt even broken, it had just gotten onto some alternative mode...[:@]
