Is the dimmer switch on the column up at the turn signal or is it on the column lower, taking out the carpeted panel. If so is there a rod that goes to it. Mine will not go/click to high beam. at least it is stuck in low beam to drive at night.

If I am not mistaken, it is "up" at the turn-signal end of the steering column. It could also be the high beam relay if there is one. Can't remember off hand. If the assembly does not even "click" then it is definately the turn-signal mechanism.
