I recently purchased a 1995 (LT1) corvette and have been having problems with the headlight actuators running a couple of seconds after the headlight are up (and down). The sound is like a knock and it happens each time the headlights are turned off or on and even when the parking lights are on. Has anyone had this type of problem and what can be done to correct it? There is no problem with the motors engaging the headlights...only the knocking sound afterwards.

 

I have the same problem with my 92.
There is a post here on some of the ideas of what might be the problem.
I think you could search headlight and it should come up.
Hope you have better success than I have had.
I really dont want to tear the headlight acuator motor apart if its still working.
