What is "high pressure" how high?

Under what conditions?

Does the indicatied oil pressure vary at all? How and when?

Need more information? Do you have the digidash? If so it could be a glitch in the sensor. Always check your sensors before throwing money away. Dont replace it unless its broke...

I wouldn't be worried about high oil pressure it's the low pressure that recks you ride.

I had an experiance with high pressure, turned out to be a clogged passage and FRIED a main bearing.

Yeah, high oil pressure usually means: 1) some oil passage is clogged (one thing to worry there is, what is clogging it and where did it come from?), and 2) something at the end of that clogged passage is not getting oil, which is ultimately very bad.

It is best to get this checked out. Could be a bad sensor, or a sign of trouble to come that you can repair before it is too late.

High oil pressure, if true, could also be a stuck check valve in the oil pump. I also would like to know what you are calling high? [8D]
