Default Locked Doors

While working in my pole barn the other day I noticed the hatch was up on my 93.It came up on its own. After shutting it I noticed that both of the doors had locked themselves. It hadn't been started for a few weeks so I figured the battery was down. Needless to say both keys were in the car.Could the security system have anything to do with this? Anyhow I had a key cut at the dealer off of the vin and the key will go in but will not turn. Any input? Thank you

try running the key on a wire wheel to remove any burrs that may still be on it..............unless some previous owner changed the locks. good luck with it. Cheers

Is your PKE operating? We're the FOB"S (both) in the car?

Try lubricating the lock(s) and key and keep working it. I had a simmilar situation once. Because we use the FOBs so much we never put keys in the locks and they freeze up.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't been on this site for awhile but the problem is fixed. The dealer cut an ignition key instead of the door key.
