While drying my 95 coupe I accidentally hit the door latch and the door is now lcoked while it is standing wide open. Years and years ago that happened before and I remember calling Chevy roadside and the guy walked me through unlocking it and it involved using a pencil. Please HELP me! Thanks!!!!!!!!

 

Seeing it was a beautiful day I was bound and determined to go for a drive so I finally figured out the solution myself. With the key in the door lock at the open slant you lift the door handle and while holding it up I took a dowel and fiddled with the latching mechanism until it flipped down. BTW since 1-800- Chevy USA wasn't able to help me - I wonder why do they even bother answering the phone! The dolly says I could look up an address for a nearby dealer for you, but of course being Sunday they won't be open! Geeez thanks a bunch!!!

 

Take something round and put it in your latch on the door like it is latched around your door pin. The make sure the door is unlocked and pull open the door handle like your opening the door appling pressure outwards like your pulling the door away from the pin. Depending on what your using as the fake pin it might take a couple of times. Good luck.
