Stinger Hood

I am thinking about installing a stinger hood on my 74.
Are they functional hoods or just for display?

The vanacor stinger hood has the scoop molded closed. Looks like they leave it that way so you have the choice of cutting it out or not. I've got some cutting and grinding to do this week.

That's what I was affraid of!
If you cut it out and get caught in the rain you will have a big problem real fast.
