C-4 electrical problem
My 84 has something draining the battery if it isn't started and run for five or six days,I have searched for shorts or cross connections but have found none, I suspect the security system, but have nothing that gives any information on it. Anyone out there that dealt with a similare problem ? Any help will be appreciated!!!

RE: C-4 electrical problem
Hey there!
I have a '90 C4 with a similar problem (electrical) but it has not escalated to draining the battery yet. My interior lights stay on for 15-20 minutes (minimum) to indefinite after I shut of my Quasy and leave the car. It is quite disturbing. Occasionally it will drain but not always, and actually quite rarely, but it does happen.
If you find out why, please let me know! This is frustrating. Like you I have searched and searched for a short in the system or some other item causing this to occur.

RE: C-4 electrical problem
Hi, Tom has also stated he has the same problem. Do a check on all lights i.e. console door and such. Once your sure everything is off. Use a mutimeter between the neg. batt. cable and the battery. A draw of 50ma is normal. If it's higher than that you deffinatly have an issue somewhere. But if you draw is 50ma or less and you batery is still going down, it may be time for a new battery.
(the 50ma value was taken from a shop manual for a 1988)
