Hello, Im going to be in the market for a Corvette soon, and I have a question on which model to get. Ok, bare with me here i dont know alot about Corvette, so dont get mad if i say the wrong thing thanks. I just sold my srt-4 which some people may know. It made some good power @ 425hp and 478tq that was with n20 as well as some bolt-ons. But, now its time to move up to the big boys..lol. Im best time was 11.65@ 125 with 1.72 60s. Not to bad you a 4 banger.
The question is should i go with the C5 Z06 or the C6 coupe? I might be wrong or just dont know,but the C5 Z06 LS6 rated at 405hp?? and the C6 LS2 is 400hp. The C6 lighter right?? My plans are exhust, cam and nitrous maybe 100 shot. Until i save the money. To get into the motor.. lower the compression forged interals etc.. So i can go with a twin turbo set up.. With that sayed, C5 Z06 or C6 coupe..

First off, welcome!!

You'll get alot of different opinions on here. Do some research, and decide what you want out of it, and where you are going to spend the $$$. There might be some options that you will find on one engine setup that aren't available on others. I know lots of folks who get scared with the power of the stock Vettes, it doesn't take much to mod it into the insane category.

Personally, I'd love a Callaway SuperNatural 550 or a C16, but I'll just work my way into that neighborhood.

From what I have gleaned from the forums, and other sources, the C6 is the way to go.
I personally have a C3 and love it. (it's far from stock)

That Callaway C16 just ROCKS. Maybe if I go get a real job, my wife will let me buy the calendar.
