Hey Panzer welcome to the forum. Selecting a year is really a matter of preference to the person purchasing it. Personally I feel any year vette is a good choice. Take a look at what is out there and what you can afford and go for it. You will find all the help you need with the car right here on this forum. Lots of help here on everything. Just make sure yo put up some pics when you get her. Lots of luck and welcome again.

All I can say, is pick out one with the options or mods ya like, and go from there. Every modle has it's good and bad points. I guess my point is, ya got ta check em' out real good. One man's trash is another's treasure.

Hi John, Welcome to the Corvette Forums.

The Corvette went through a lot of changes during the early and mid 80's. An '83 would be a great choice, but, there's only one on the planet, and I doubt very seriously it's for sale.

Seriously though, like C3 said, they all have there good and bad points, just find you one you can afford, keep itup, and enjoy it.

Cheers, [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Hey Panzer1138, welcome aboard.

My advice is to set your price range and then start looking at what you can get for that amount. Then narrow it down by deciding on: coupe or convertible, factory correct or customized, colors you'd want, automatic or manual, etc.
